Made to Measure Roman Blind FAQs

We've created a handful of easy-to-follow measuring guides that we hope you will find useful. Our curtain measuring guide covers both made to measure and ready-made curtains. How to measure for curtains How to measure for blinds

Our made to measure curtains and roman blinds are carefully made in the UK in Lancashire. They are hand finished to your exact size and specification. We have a choice of standard or blackout lining, with or without interlinings. There are a choice of 5 headings for made to measure curtains and if you need anything extra special, or just clarification, please contact us.

We offer the option of interlining for our made to measure curtains and roman blinds. Interlining is an additional layer of fabric sewn between the curtain fabric and the curtain lining. Interlining offers thermal insulation, noise reduction, reduces sunlight and improves the look and feel of your curtains.

If your made to measure curtains or blinds are wider than the width of fabric, we will join the widths of fabric together with vertical seams. If your fabric has a pattern, it will be matched across the seams.

Standard lining provides extra protection to your curtains from direct sunlight and reduces fading. The appearances of your curtain will be enhanced too, with structure and shape being added. While offering the same benefits as our standard lining, our blackout lining also helps to stop light filtering through, making it ideal for use in bedroom curtains.

Within our blind measuring guide, we provide some tips that should help when it comes to choosing whether your blind is to be fitted inside or outside of the recess. The brackets supplied as standard are suitable for both types of installation.
